Source Whole Food through CSA
Participating in a local CSA program, Community Supported Agriculture, has been the best way for us to source farm fresh, local, seasonal vegetables, greens, and fruit at a cost of about $20/week for the season. We've been exposed to so many different varieties of veggies I hadn't prepped before! Our local CSA shares recipes and cooking tips and invites members out to the farm to see their produce from farm to table. Two growing seasons are often available with the use of greenhouses in more temperate zones. We enjoy weekly boxes in the summer season and bi-monthly boxes in the winter season for over half the year, a blessing of living in a more rural area.
